Do you want to make a difference, but have trouble fitting volunteer work into your schedule? Sparked can help you give back on your own time.
Sparked is a platform for “microvolunteering,” spontaneously helping charities and nonprofits by performing tasks that can range from answering questions to designing a logo. To use Sparked, just select the causes you are interested in and the skills you bring to the table, then sign in with your Google, Facebook or Twitter account.
After that, you’ll be presented with a series of tasks pegged to your interests and skills. For example, one of my assigned tasks was helping the United Way with suggestions on how to improve their Facebook contest.
If you have a little bit of time to kill and want to do something more elevating than watching cat videos on YouTube, I’d recommend logging into Sparked. It’s rewarding and even a little bit fun.
