Put It To A Vote

Wednesday, August 4, 2010

PollDaddy and SurveyMonkey are two popular solutions for creating online polls and surveys. Although both can be used free of charge, they do require you to take a few moments to register before you create an online poll. If that’s too much effort, try Flisti instead.

Flisti lets you create online polls that can be shared over Facebook or Twitter or embedded in a blog or website. It’s free to use, and no registration is required: just type in your question and the answers you want your respondents to be able to select from. Once your poll is set up, share buttons make it quick and convenient to post it on Facebook or Twitter, and a cut-and-paste embed code makes it a snap to post to a blog or website.

Of course, the trade-off for Flisti’s speed and ease of use is that its functionality is very basic. You can’t use Flisti to set up a survey with multiple questions, and there’s no way to customize the appearance of the poll or to download the results. Still, if you don’t need or want any of these amenities, Flisti is a great quick-and-dirty alternative to other survey apps.
