If you own a business in the service industry, YourAM provides an easy way to set and manage appointments as well as employee leave dates. With YourAM, when you set an appointment you can designate more than just the time and date-you can also designate which employee will be assisting the customer as well as any resources or equipment they will need. You can set the app up so that employees are notified via email or text message whenever a new appointment is set as well as when an appointment is cancelled. Plus, you can pull appointment info from YourAM and add it to your Google Calendar automatically.
There’s also a contact management system that lets you note any important details about your customers that you need to remember for their appointments. Unfortunately, there is not a way to import contacts, so you’re stuck entering everything in by hand.
Another cool feature that YourAM offers is a booking page that makes it simple for clients to book appointments online. Again, you get real-time notification of the appointment and YourAM automatically manages your schedule so that the appointments your clients make online do not conflict with the appointments you already have set up. YourAM also allows booking via SMS.
YourAM is easy to set up and relatively easy to use-the only issue I had was that the system is a little finicky about how you enter your customers’ mobile numbers when you set an appointment, but there aren’t any instructions as to the correct format AND if you enter it incorrectly, it erases all the other appointment information and you have to enter everything in again.
Considering how useful it is, YourAM is reasonably priced, with plans ranging from $8.00 to $40.00 per month. There’s also a very limited free plan to let you get a feel for the system.
