I know what you’re probably thinking: another social bookmarking app? Really? I felt the same way when it came time to review Inslices, but it’s actually well-designed and has some neat features that make it worth checking out.
Like Delicious, etc, Inslices is designed to help you bookmark interesting web pages and explore pages bookmarked by others. Unlike Delicious, InSlices saves more than simply a link to the site-it saves text, pictures, and video, all viewable from your Inslices account. It’s sort of like the bastard child of Delicious and Evernote.
Although the functionality is similar to Shelfster, InSlices operates through a Firefox extension or a bookmarklet instead of as a desktop app. InSlices makes it easy to extract only the content you want from a specific web page-just click the “Slice it” button and click on what you want. Again, Shelfster offers the same thing, but selecting content is easier and quicker with InSlices.
Just as with other similar apps, you can organize your “slices” on Inslices using tags. However, you can only use one tag at a time to filter-it would be better if you could use multiple tags to narrow down results.
Inslices also makes it super-simple to share web pages via email-import your Gmail contacts, and you can send using the Firefox extension or bookmarklet in just a couple of clicks. Adding Twitter integration would make this even better.
Inslices is attractive a pleasure to use-I like the way it looks and feels better than Delicious, actually. As far as the the social aspect goes, though, my concern is the same as it was for Shelfster-are people going to be willing to put the time in to build a new social graph of trusted users on new website?
UPDATE: One of our readers has reported problems both using the service and being able to contact support. Probably not a good idea to invest a lot of time and effort in an InSlices bookmarks collection unless and until they get that figured out.

I installed inslices for a week and sliced many bookmarks then it quit working. Now I must move them all. It doesn’t work!!
There is no way to contact these people. When you try to send an email it says sorry problem. A mess.
How annoying! Thanks for sharing your experience- it worked fine for me when I tried it, but I’ll update the post to note that support is difficult to reach.
