Sentiment analysis is cool, but most of the tools that make use of it are understandably aimed at marketers, PR people and others whose job it is to analyze what people are saying about public figures and products. RankSpeed takes sentiment analysis and makes it useful for everyone else, by helping you find recommendations for products from Twitter and the blogosphere.
Here’s how it works: use RankSpeed to search for a product, either by typing something in the “search tags” box or by clicking on a product from the list provided. Choose the sentiment you want to search for (excellent, great, p0werful, etc) and Rankspeed will bring back a list of products that folks on Twitter or on blogs have described using that sentiment.
You can search using one sentiment or more than one, and you can click on the individual products to see what people have been saying about them. Right now, Rankspeed only compares electronic products and popular websites, but they’re working on making it even more useful by building a larger database.
