Social networking inside an organizations has many benefits, like making it easier to collaborate and share knowledge and fostering a sense of team spirit among employees. Like Yammer, Cubetree and Office Medium, Lumo Flow lets employees create profiles, share status updates and create online discussions.
Lumo Flow also helps you plan for projects. You can create and share a roadmap for each project, discuss the project with the team, assign project-related tasks to a specific person or leave them open for anyone to complete, share documents and track the amount of time spent on the project.
All of this is free, no matter how many users you have. However, Lumo Flow also has premium features, including media/social media tracking for specific topics, a mobile client, additional storage and the ability to generate time tracking reports in Excel. A premium subscription to Lumo Flow is 95 euro each month.
What strikes me about the pricing model is how it jumps from free to over 100 American dollars monthly. I’m not sure how well that will work for attracting small businesses, especially when you can find media tracking and time tracking services cheaper from other companies.
However, Lumo Flow is attractive and well-designed, and even the free version has lots of useful features.

In January we will also launch a broader range of pricing with Basic pricing which offers an online workspace with the functionalities between Free and Premium. Furthermore we will offer an Enterprise version which can be installed locally behind your own firewall and which has a stronger SLA.
