DoTemplate makes it easy to get a professional-looking website up and running quickly by providing free, customizable templates.  All you have to do is go to the site, choose a template, and edit the colors, images and text. Then, you can download the files to you computer and put them online.

Right now, DoTemplate has a limited selection of templates, but they are all free and extremely customizable. You can change the color schemes, the text and the images, using pictures from their gallery or uploading them from your own computer.  To edit part of a template, just click on the element you want to change, and pop-up window appears that shows you your options and lets you  preview your changes.

You are, however, required to keep a link to the DoTemplate site in the footer of your own site in exchange for using the templates. If you don’t want to keep the link, you can remove it by supporting the service with a $10 donation, payable via Paypal.

The site is easy to navigate and the templates are a breeze to customize, and you can use them with the hosting company of your choice.  The templates are XHTML and CSS compliant, so they are easily indexed by search engines.  The only drawback is the limited number of templates available.

Still, if you need to get a website up and running quickly and you don’t want to pay a professional, DoTemplate is an option worth investigating.
