DocQ is a service that lets you edit, mark up, send and store PDF documents securely. Since DocQ supports electronic signatures, you can take your business almost completely online, sending and storing contracts and other important documents.
DocQ’s interface is attractive and well-designed. It’s easy to navigate-when you open a multi-page document, thumbnails at the bottom let you easily flip from page to page. They do block portions of the text, which I found somewhat annoying, but you do have the option to turn them off if they bug you.
Editing PDFs with DocQ is simple-you can insert shapes and text at will, highlight, insert sticky notes and insert signature lines. PDFs can be uploaded from your computer or imported from a specific URL. You also have the option of uploading a regular office document-DocQ will convert it to PDF for you.
Sending is easy and encrypted, and delivery is guaranteed. When you send a document, your recipient is provided a link that lets them access the document on DocQ, even if they don’t have a DocQ account.
You can also set permissions that determine what the recipient will be allowed to do with the document, such as whether they can make changes, make a copy or just sign it.
DocQ offers a free trial plan, but since your documents are watermarked you will probably want to upgrade to a personal plan (starting at $6.99 per month) or a business plan (starting at $12.99 per month.)
DocQ could be quite useful for everyone from freelancers looking for an easier way to get contracts for clients to teams that need an easy way to collaborate on documents.
