Invoicing to Go

Desktop invoicing programs are great for people like me who work in front of a computer all day. But what if your business requires you to be out and about more often than you are in your office? Bill On Site was specifically designed to let you send invoices on the go from any mobile phone with Internet access.

Whether you log in from your computer or your phone, Bill On Site gives you access to a complete set of invoicing tools.  The program is easy to navigate  and use-the side menu makes it easy to add clients’ contact information and create and send invoices.  You can also filter invoices by status adn filter clients by whether or not they owe you money.  Set up your standard taxes, fees and discounts once , and you can easily apply them to your invoices in the future.

You can also specify how your clients should pay you-in person, by credit card, by check and even by PayPal. The only options that I felt were  missing were the option to send recurring invoices automatically and the option to create proposals or quotes in addition to invoices.

I tested Bill On Site on both my home computer and my mobile phone (T-Mobile MyTouch), and it worked beautifully on both.  The mobile version of BillOnSite has been optimized for speed and ease of navigation in a mobile browser, but I should note that you can’t access all of the functions. For example, you can’t add discounts and taxes or change your settings from your phone. However, you can add new clients and create new invoices, which is really all you should have to do in the field, anyway.

The pricing structure is as follows: the basic plan is $15 per month, and gives a single person access to the account and the ability to send 25 invoices.

The small business plan is $30 per month, and you get 3 staff accounts and 100 invoices. The premium plan is $45 per month for 10 staff accounts and 250 invoices.

I think BillOnSite would be quite useful for anyone who needs to send invoices while out of the office. What do you think of it?
