Twtglry

The sheer number of Twitter tools and applications available is almost overwhelming. How do you find the right tool for the job? Twitglry is like a map of the Twitter ecosystem, helping you find different cool apps to improve your Twitter experience.

Twitglry is basically a directory of Twitter apps in gallery form. You can browse through all the apps at the same time, browse by category if you are trying to zero in on something specific, or use the search bar. Right now there are 5 pages worth of Twitter tools and apps to check out. The interface is easy to use, but the way that the apps are organized into categories could be a little bit more clear. For example, the category “Tool and App” includes apps that seem like they would fit better in other categories, like Snapatar, which seems like it should be in the “Multimedia” category, or Tweetiator, which seems like it should be in “Analytics.”

You can also vote for apps, so as the site grows and gets more participation, the best apps in each category will rise to the top. Twitglry is similar to the Twitter fan wiki, but it’s laid out better, is more attractive and is more fun to browse. If the site takes off, so that more developers submit their apps and more people come in to vote, it could become an extremely useful tool for Twitter users.
