If you want to promote your brand or website,  giveaways and promotions are a great way to do it. Everybody likes prizes! Wildfire is an app that makes it easy to create promotions and spread the word via social networking sites like Facebook and MySpace.

With Wildfire, setting up a contest or competition is simple-just choose the type of contest you want to hold, list your prizes, design your banners and entry form and enter in the rules. Wildfire will then publish and promote your contest on Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Ning and/or Bebo.  Plus, you can create a widget or a web page and  publish it on your own website.

Since your promotion is distributed on Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, etc, it will show up in users’ activity streams.  Plus, people can easily share your promotion and invite their friends to enter. This exposes your brand and your promotion to many more people than would have stumbled upon it otherwise.

In addition to contests, you can create quizzes and coupons with Wildfire. You can also connect quizzes and coupons with other types of promotions-say, by creating a quiz that’s relevant to your company’s business and then attaching a coupon or an invitation to enter a sweepstakes at the end of the quiz.

Wildfire is an excellent app-innovative, with an easy-to-use interface that makes setting up a campaign a piece of cake.  Prices vary depending on how long your campaign will run and on how much control you want over the branding and appearance of your promotion.  Even the basic plan gives you a decent amount of control over appearance, however, and the price is low enough to be easily affordable for small businesses.
