Referral-based promotional campaigns have been around forever, but the ubiquity of email and the rise of social networking sites makes them potentially more powerful than ever before. NextBee is a tool that makes it easy to offer existing customers incentives for referring other people.
The cool thing about NextBee is that it handles everything for you: you choose the type of campaign you want, enter in your terms and conditions (or use the defaults), and NextBee generates codes for the appropriate widgets and tracking scripts. You install these codes on your webpage, and you’re good to go.
NextBee’s banners and user interfaces are customizable, or you can upload your own images to better reflect your brand. You can also display your social networking profiles on the confirmation page visitors see after they refer others or submit a review for the promotion.
One thing I didn’t notice but would like to have seen when I set up a mock campaign on NextBee was the ability for website visitors to easily refer people to your site via Facebook and/or Twitter. Email is great, but social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter have a much broader reach. ****CORRECTION: I just heard from Ashish Mohole of NextBee, and apparently this option is available. I just didn’t see it. Rating has been updated accordingly.
Other than that, NextBee’s service is easy to use, and would definitely be helpful for businesses who want to offer word-of-mouth promotions but don’t want to spend a lot of time managing them. NextBee plans are available for $10 per month, $29 per month and $69 per month. Each plan offers a different level of support from the NextBee team.
What do you think of NextBee? Would it be worth the money for you?
Our Rating of NextBee

Hello UsefulTools.com Team,
Thanks for your review. We really appreciate you taking time and sharing information about our tools with your readers.
Just wanted to mention that we do put equal focus (if not more) on social media referrals – all referral forms (except the ones where a merchant wants to enforce limit on minimum number of referral emails), have option to send referral as a post on Twitter/Facebook or LinkedIn. We also offer users a personalized social media widget highlighting all their referrals (This widget can be placed on virtually any social network or blogging platform). Finally, each user also gets a personalized token to share with their friends and family using their favorite social media or forum channels so users don’t have to be stuck on sharing only specific referral links.
Again, I can’t stress enough that many of these things are going through iterations and every feedback/comment we get helps us improve our solution further so we are happy that you reviewed our solution and omission on social media point is very much a pointer for us to improve on our interface/messaging.
