As more people sign on to share more of their lives with the world through Twitter, a menagerie of third-party apps have sprung up to make it easier to add links, pictures, videos and document files to your tweets. TinyTw.it aims to be one-stop shopping for all of the above.
Much like Filetwt, TinyTw.it allows you to share pictures and files in just a few clicks. It also includes a URL shortening service. All of these functions are exceptionally easy to use, and you can choose a keyword to include in your shortened URL if you desire. With TinyTw.it, sharing documents and pictures on Twitter is as easy as attaching them to an email. All you have to do is upload them, and TinyTw.it creates a tiny URL. Images and documents are hosted on SnapShots. Unlike FileTwt, accessing shared documents is easy and only takes a click.
While there are numerous similar apps out there, TinyTw.it benefits from an attractive, intuitive user interface and the ability to share anything from links to web pages to documents. However, it’s still kind of a hassle to have to go to the Tiny.Tw.it website to do all of these things. A bookmarklet, like BigTweet uses, would make this app much more useful in my opinion.
