Facebook addicts, I have a question for you-what would happen if you suddenly lost access to your Facebook account? If you think that’s impossible, try Googling “lost Facebook account” or “Facebook account hacked.” If you use Facebook frequently, losing your Facebook account could be devastating.
SocialSafe is an application that lets you back up your Facebook friends, profile information and photo albums. If something were to happen to your Facebook account, you could start over again much more easily.
SocialSafe is easy to install and use-in just a few clicks, you’ll have your Facebook account backed up.You can also browse your photo albums and other information offline. The photo backup feature is particularly useful if you often post photos to Facebook from your cell phone, allowing you to easily save them to your computer for added safety.
SocialSafe has an innovative concept-although there are other apps that allow you to back up your friend’s list, there isn’t anything else that offers to back up your profile information and photos as well. The user interface is attractive and well-designed, and the price ($2.99) is reasonable. In the future, the developers hope to add other social networks to the mix.
Even if you never need the full backup capabilities offered by this app, being able to download all of your photo albums with one click is a pretty cool feature. And should your account get hacked or suspended for any reason, your information will still be available on your hard drive.
What do you think of SocialSafe? Is it worth $2.99 to back up your Facebook account?

Can you restore your account using SocialSafe as well, or it just performs backup? If it doesn’t restore, then what is the benefit of SocialSafe over teasker.com that not only backups, but also restores the account?
I don’t see an an option to automatically restore everything in SocialSafe, actually. But, at least you have all of the data and can easily set everything back up. I wasn’t aware of teasker.com until I saw your comment. They don’t have a very informative website, but it appears that they store the backups on their own servers instead of on your hard drive. SocialSafe stores the information on your own personal computer, so it just depends on where you would prefer to keep it.
