One of the biggest obstacles that aspiring musicians face is getting their music heard outside of of their circle of friends. Muziboo attempts to help musicians overcome this obstacle by creating a community where they can share their work. With features like the ability to upload music and Facebook and Twitter integration, Muziboo provides a social networking platform to help you get the word out about your band’s latest masterpiece.
You can also record songs directly on Muziboo, rather than uploading them, which could be helpful for musicians who are working on songs and want some feedback. Muziboo is easy to use, but it would be nice if there was a way to customize the background of your profile page to reflect your band’s image and style.
Muziboo isn’t the only site trying to harness the power of the Internet to help bands gain exposure, of course-Songramp has a similar concept. However, the social networking aspects are a bonus. Ultimately, a site like Muziboo will get more and more useful as more and more people join. The more listeners that are part of the community, the more of an audience your songs will have. The more musicians, the more valuable advice and feedback you can get on your work.

Muziboo is cool. Good interaction between members who take some efforts to network by commenting on others music. My nephew joined there and was waiting for people to make comments on his songs, give feed-backs and make him a star. Needless to say, it did not happen. Good for him. He then started networking by making friends, commenting on other’s music and now sounds pretty happy. He gets to have his songs “Mixing” done for free through one of the members there (Muzibians as they call themselves). There is some scope for improvement though, regarding the site’s usability part. You will have to spend at least 15 minutes to get a grip on the site. Some of it is crude.
Muziboo happens to be on the top for search results in Google and Bling, with searches for terms like “Upload music”. That is really cool.
Hi Alison,
Thanks for the great review!
As you rightly pointed, Muziboo has developed into an awesome community for musicians rather than being just another platform for audio sharing.
We will definitely consider your idea of personalized band pages.

I am a huge fan of Muziboo, its an awesome community for musicians and singers alike. Though most of the users are Indians, would love to see them expand to other countries as well. The platform is very well done, to keep the conversation between the music creator and consumer very alive.
Nice place to have your originals or covers critiqued by potential buyers of your CD. That is the only unique aspect. Qualified freelance musicians or hobbyists commenting on your rights and wrongs. Even if you don’t plan to release the collection, it helps for improving self. They even allow repeat uploads for community members that want to re-upload to incorporate the suggestions and corrections. Good community feeling.

[...] is a website for user-created audio files. The site is similar to Muziboo in that you can upload your own music, share it with others and let them listen to it and critique [...]
Great review! I think this is an awesome way to get your music out there with very little work. Still exploring the tool.
