Setting up a website for your company or business isn’t enough. You have to be able to easily interact with the visitors to your website.  Forms are a great way to get the information you need from your customers, but they can be a hassle to create.

Doculicious lets you create printable PDF forms for your website, without having to write a single line of code. When someone fills in a form, Doculicious will also collect the data for you and store it on their servers, and send you a notification to let you know that the form has been completed.

Last month, we reviewed Wufoo, another company that makes it easy to create online forms and use them to collect data. What’s the difference between Wufoo and Doculicious? Wufoo focuses on ease of use-designing a form requires nothing more than choosing different fields to add to the form. Doculicious has a user interface for form design that is more complicated, but also more flexible. You can position form elements anywhere you like on the page, and you can create a customized form with your business logo on it with just a free account.

Doculicious also creates PDF  forms that can be printed off by your customers (or by you, if you want a hard copy).  This is another key difference between Doculicious and Wufoo, and it’s a difference that could be important if your business procedures require you to file paper copies of customer’s forms.

I rated Wufoo a little bit higher than Doculicious because their UI is a little bit more attractive and much easier and faster to use. However, as I stated above,  once you learn how to use Doculicious’ template workshop, you have a lot more control over what the  finished product looks like using their service.  Which is more important to you: ease of use or control over the final product? Which form-building app do you think is better?
