Remember the Milk is an online task management system for those of us who wander about in a permanent state of amnesia. The user interface looks like a simple to-do list, and the app is easy to use: simply enter tasks in, enter the due date, if there is one, and check them off as you complete them. However, Remember the Milk also offers a host of other options that make it far more useful than an old-school day planner could ever hope to be. For example, you can tag your tasks and filter them, so you can see what still needs to be done on a specific project.

Remember the Milk is also integrated with Google Maps, so you can organize your tasks by location and plan the most efficient way to run errands. You can enter in a time estimate for each task, search for tasks due on a specific day, and see at a glance how many hours of your day you have left after you do all of your chores. Even better, Remember the Milk integrates with Gmail, so if you use Gmail, you can add tasks directly from your email by starring them.

You can also share tasks with other Remember the Milk users. There are a lot of task management programs out there, but Remember the Milk stands out for its flexibility and the way it integrates with so many other productivity applications, including Jott, 30 boxes and more.

If you buy the pro version, it will also sync with your Blackberry, IPhone or smartphone with Windows Mobile. One caveat: if you are traveling outside of your home time zone, make sure you log out of RTM completely on your home computer first. Otherwise, the service will be unable to correctly calculate the date until you return home.
